How old is old?

Sometimes I am amazed at the strange stuff that happens to the 3 of us. I really sit and wonder if this stuff happens to other people or if we are just "special" (No jokes needed here..I already know what you're gonna say ha!) Here is the latest of the random things that occur.  

Well, after a nonexciting, ordinary day yesterday, I left work and came home to supper Kenny cooked- which was very good by the way. [ Before anyone says it, Yes, I absolutely do understand and realize I am spoiled.] Anthony was working so we decided to go ahead and walk. Kenny and I decided that we weren't made to walk miles of rolling hills, but instead we were made to walk across the flat, nonhill, plains. The best thing you have around here is the park. Well, I was thrilled that I wouldn't almost catch rabies again from any bats if we went to the park too. Well, we loaded up, grabbed a water because I knew I was gonna be "dying of thirst" when I got done walking, and went to the park. Now, the park isn't very big and I know I'm gonna see someone I know becuase I'm wearing clothes that are comfortable and my hair is pulled up like a hot mess. Well, we joined in on the track and went to walking. Of course Kenny is laggin behind becuase he's a man and can't read his phone and walk at the same time even though i can walk, chew my big red, listen to music, AND facebook. But I was making my way around and noticed something that looked like a bear. I KNEW not to ask "Kenny, is that a bear??" or I'd never hear the end of it. So I stood there staring at this thing as I waited on him to catch up. I asked "What is that?" He replied by informing me it was a cat. Now, if that thing was a cat, it belonged in the ZOO! That was the biggest "cat" I had eva seen. I gave him that crazy look, and he said "Wait, I think its a bear??" HA! I almost peed from laughing becuase I was certain if I said that I would've been made fun of for the next 5 years, so of course I made fun of him and never let on I thought the same. So, the brave thing Kwnny is, he got closer, and he saw a big ol tail. And I be dang! It was a beaver! A for real beaver. The only beaver I had ever seen was on that cartoon show "angry beavers" or in a book. So I wanted to see for my self. And yep, sure was a beaver. It had that crazy lookin little tail. it was chomping away at a big ol tree and had ate a hole right through it! I would've never thought my first real beaver would be in Smalltown, USA in the city park. I figured it would've been at the buffalo river when I was conoeing...but I spent more time flipping, under the water, and hanging on to the trees like a monkey after our canoe sank that I wouldn't know if I had seen a beaver! Needless to say, I was fascinated! ha! We snapped pictures becuase I knew no one would believe us. Aaaaaand theres one for you to see for yourself! lol.  After that, the rest of the day seemed boring. Ant and I watched Pretty Little Liars- we're obsessed- and then it was bed time. 

Which brings us to today! 

Today I had to do something I have been dreading. I had to go renew my driver's license. i was dreading the long line, the wait, and mostly facing the fact that no matter how much I dislike it, 25 is coming- and in a hurry too! Now, don't hate. I am having trouble with 25, and I have my reasons and very valid points. And everyone says "Wait til 30" or "Wait til you're 50". Well, I'm not. I'm almost 25. And remember, no one told you to shut up, suck it up, and quit whining when you turned 30, 40, 50, or whatever age. So if that's what you're gonna tell me, tell it to the wall because I don't really care. :) That being said, I am absolutely thankful to be turning another year older becuase thats MUCH better than the alternative! ha! But today I was a big girl and took care of my "adult business" even if I didn't like it. -Im doing my 'proud of myself' happy dance. It only took me 10 minutes to get my liscense too! I was extra proud of that! 

Tonight is our traditional "Dinner before someone is going out of town" with Becky and Micah. Then the birthday festivities start tomorrow! Woo hoo! :)        -You better pull of something good boys!- ;)

Them dang bats!

Well, there's nothing ridiculously exciting to report today. No great adventures. No slaying giants or dragons. I, Beth, worked today as did Kenny. Ant was off today and swam and enjoyed his off day. Yep, being the beef(be familiar with this term- you will be seeing it a lot. Ant and I call each other beef bc that's what BFF sounds like when you pronounce it like a word instead of spell it out. Yep, you're all saying BFF/beef in your head ha) I am- I was totally j (We shorten words to...like jealous. We pretty much have our own lingo). I came home to a fresh cooked meal by the guys. Mexican night!- which was pretty good. Although I'm sure they will have me paying for that comment later since there were refried beans. Then it was time to exercise. My exercise consists of walking about 4 laps around the few block which contain hills. I have always said that I would never run unless somethin or someone was chasin me. Well, tonight was the night I ran. I was chased by about 5- but felt like 50- BATS! Which I was also convinced were going to turn into vampires at any given moment and surround us like something out of the Twilight saga- hey if Edward were to appear in front of me the running would cease...just sayin! But no worries, all 3 of us successfully made it back to the house without any Twilight moments or rabies. And as tradition has it, it's blanket and Lifetime Movie Network time. A successful completion to Monday and now on to Tuesday. I am so looking forward to the weekend as it is my Birthday week and I KNOW the boys have something great planned :D ! And also we have news to share about next week which will come later. Place a stamp on Monday. It's now complete. Have a terrific Tuesday! Xoxo- BY

Sunday Night Blues

Well.

Here we sit on Sunday night after the completion of another fabulous weekend. We played what felt like 20834 dart games Friday night- side note, I- Beth- did win one game and anyone that knows me understands what an accomplishment that was. Then Saturday, Kenny left for a BBQ cooking contest with his team- Southern Bootleggers (No, we aren't bootleggers before someone asks!! We know how cray-cray people are! ha.) We, Ant and Beth, went swimming at the Allen Beach * thanks Susan!!* and had a ball despite the heat index of what we believe felt like 200 degrees. Then Ant went to work, Beth cleaned the house, then it was party time. No, it was legit a birthday party. We met up with Becky and Micah and were on our way with beer and rum in the hatch! Big Hill Pond bound. All was great until we pulled in the drive. -Here is where I, Beth, should mention that Ant was driving and anyone who has been in the car with him before knows what that means. Slam! The breaks were hit and the Styrofoam cooler we bought at the convenient store for a whole $4 broke. Damn. Ant recovered things nicely as the rest of us were pissin. Then we proceed down the loooong driveway that felt like it was in the next state! We arrived at the "Party by the Pool"- theres a difference in that and "Pool Party"- just ask the girl with no make-up on and in her bathing suit and cover up sittin by the pool with no one swimming. Bless it. We were catching up with friends we hadn't seen in a while, drinks were flowing, and beer pong was going. I- Ant- and Becky played a damn good game too. Then it turned into a semi pool party with 2 people in the water. Then I- Ant, decided to empty my pockets and get in. We all know boo had to show off his nipple ring (.) ;) Then the noodle war broke out. Justin and Anthony were at war and felt the need to take down everyone else around them. The poor people trying to win beer pong were left helpless and defeated by the power of the noodle. I was past ready to raise my white flag- all in good fun though. The music was still bumping and we were in our own little world with some friends. Becky and Micah left and then we looked around and over half the damn people were gone! Then the power of alcohol continued to unleash- we all know the more alcohol that goes in the more truth that comes out and the more clothes that come off! Things get fuzzy and to the car we went. Yes, we were safe and I was the dd- no worries friends. We ended up at Huddle House in the negative 5 temperature with Laura Beth and Blake. It was cold, but that food was good at 4 am! We ended up home at 430- yet again on another weekend night!!. Meanwhile, Kenny was cooking his little heart out. He stayed up all night and his beer was glued to his right hand we're sure so have no fear...he wasn't necessarily slaving away with his team. Yes, we did miss him!  After Ant got off work and I got up outta the dang bed, it was time to go shoppin! <3 This is where the idea to start this while blog thing came about. We were talking the other day about how hilarious it would be if we had our own reality show. We decided this was the next best thing!! Then, we shopped, ate, and shopped some more. I must thank my sweet Beef for so patiently waiting in Old Navy while I tried on 123 pieces of clothing, or it felt like that many, and only busting in the dressing room door once to rush me! Bless it. I only tried on 3 shirts!!!! But I did get some cute swim trunks. At Cheddars, we are more than certain the people around us were screamin TMI in their heads if they heard any piece of our conversation! Watch out for the tree "roots" cookie monster! ;) I was pissin!!!! We were homeward bound and jammin to Lauren Alaina. All of our friends can feel my enthusiasm dripping here I'm sure :/ Bless it my little LaLa. We finally got home and were SO excited to see Kenny. He was a little less excited to see us since he was snoozing away in the chair. But after he woke up, we are pretty sure he was just as excited to see us! Then we all 3 watched Anthony's fave Sunday Shows- Drop Dead Diva and The Glades.

Which brings us to the current moment where Kenny is snoozing and we are excitedly blogging and enjoying our new fave past time- Lifetime Movies. Who knew those things could be so damn addicting!!! The movies almost over and we have agreed not to get sucked into another 2 hours of a movie! Ant, your arm still smells really good with all 5 different Bath and Body works lotion still on it :)  So, we hope you've enjoyed our first real post other than the introduction.  Hope you all have a wonderful week!

A girl, A guy, and A gay

So I guess there's not necessarily a "right or wrong" way to start this. So, here is how we will roll....

A girl, A guy, and A gay is a blog about the adventures three best friends at the age of 24 who live together and enjoy life. Now, let us fill in the rest and introduce us to you. 

The girl- that would be Beth. She is married to "the guy" and has been with him for over 7 years. She is best friends with "the gay" and has been for nearly a decade now.

The guy- That's Kenny. The one married to Beth- "the girl". He has been best friends with "the gay" for over 7 years.

The gay- now introducing, Anthony. You can already see the establishment of the friendships. He has lived with them for almost 9 months. Openly gay for almost 2 years.

Now that you know us individually and by more than a noun, we will fill in the blanks.

 As you already know, our lives have been intertwined for many years. We all went to high school together and were best friends, and we all graduated a year apart. Now, we won't lie and tell you its been roses the entire time!  Kenny went to school in a big city, Beth went to a private school, and Anthony stayed in the small hometown- moved to the beach, came back but just for a little while.Beth and Kenny were the "high school sweethearts that got married" (yeah, it will make you vomit) and then moved back home to the small home. There were a few rocky years in there, but all has been well and recovered for years now. Not long after that, Anthony decided it was time for a change and moved an hour and a half away, came in for a visit one day and came out of the closet (came in to come out- ironic), then decided a bigger change was in order and moved 8 hours away. Again, we won't lie and say that was roses either, but luckily, he then decided to come home. And that is how we all ended up living together. Which should fill you in and bring you to the present. We like to hang out, party with out friends, drink alcohol, dance, go to bars, and have a damn good time. And yes, we do cuss and say things that are blunt.  We live in the South in a small town.  Kenny is outdoors-ey (yep, he wears camo) and hunts and likes to cook, Beth loves to shop- too much- and can bake when she wants to, and Anthony loves to dance, tan, and have a good time while looking good.

People often don't understand our living arrangement or our friendships. So, its a good thing we aren't asking permission or for anyone's understanding. We pretty much think if you don't like it, we don't care....just saying. We will tell you of the happy times, the sad times, and the shit that is just plain messed up. That being said, we hope you enjoy!
